Initially, I set out to just illustrate the relationship between Aamira and Billi, but this evolved to represent several more things.
Firstly, Billi tries her best to “integrate into society” by helping clean around the estate, but she sometimes is a cartoony klutz, though.
However, as a (proto-)succubus she isn’t very good at making things better through seduction. Her inability to not look like a demon with black eyes and horns probably doesn’t help, but she does have at least a supernatural sense to know what is the best way to seduce other people.
This leads to the third factor – Aamira’s sexuality is mostly orientated around power dynamics. Billi is right to play up her submissiveness, but Aamira is wiser than most about demons like her. On the other side of the coin, Aamira likes to be dominated too.
Aamira is also a 250-year-old Vampire, so a minor theme of her is her trying to catch up with modern technology at the very end of the 1990s.
This is where I introduce Angelica’s relationship with Aamira. Angelica wants to become a bit more like Aamira – a real witch. So in turn she generally tries to appeal to Aamira by sharing her “arcane” expertise in computers. Also, Angelica is no stranger to getting to what she wants through sex appeal, in fact, she would probably make for a better succubus than Billi.
